Job Description

UN Women seeks to engage Provincial Coordinators of the Programme at the provincial level (one in Balochistan in Balochistan and one to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Balochistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) to supervise programs that relate to Gender Parity in the Justice sector on a provincial level.

The Coordinators of Programs are accountable for coordinating each aspect of project management within their region, which includes planning and budgeting as well as the monitoring of and reports on project actions and directing budgets, personnel, and consultants. They’ll make sure there is a solid connection with UNWomen’s other ongoing projects in the justice field at the provincial level and support the Head of the Sub-Office Sub Office in implementing EVAW, Governance, and Human Rights Unit activities. They will also provide advice and technical assistance whenever required. As they report to the Head of the Sub-Office, under the supervision of the Portfolio manager responsible for Ending Violence Against Women, Governance as well as Human Rights, the Program Coordinators also have the responsibility of managing stakeholders and maintaining positive connections with other stakeholders.

The Programme Coordinators collaborate closely with the Operations Unit, Communications Team, and other programs teams inside the PCO under the supervision of the Sub-office Head, who is accountable for that there is the smooth implementation of project activities and overseeing the gathering of information and data and sharing information and resolving complex issues that arise from the program under assistance provided by Portfolio Manager.

Overview of Functions Key:

* Assists in Gender Justice Parity Implementation of Gender Justice Parity

Provincial Program at the provincial level

* Facilitates collaboration between provincial partners and other stakeholders

* Helps monitor and report on the Gender Parity Program at

* Support and promote knowledge of management and development, as well as facilitate communication

1. Provides efficient assistance in implementing an effective Gender Parity in Justice Program at the provincial level.

* Assist in the overall project work plan and implementation per the Strategic Note/program document.

* Create Provincial work plans, gather feedback, and help in the creation of global project work plans along with regular updates on the progress of the project in a narrative format to collaborate with UN Women and the donor;

* Design and create gender education materials and training programs for institutions within the justice system on the provincial level working in partnership with appropriate counterparts, especially police departments. Police Department.

* Launch a campaign to attract women and girls working in institutions like the judiciary or police.

• Strengthen the women’s services providers’ networks at the province level by holding regular meetings and other activities to enhance capacities.

* Support the HoSO in the development of methods to aid in project development, implementation, and monitoring together and in coordination with other justice sector projects at the provincial level.

* Keep records and documentation about relevant program activities, risks and issues.

2. Guides’ coordination with Provincial partners and other parties

• Coordinate relationships with provincial partners to aid in implementing and expanding the Gender Parity in Justice Programme. Consider possible issues and suggest solutions.

* Determine the need to build capacity and support members with guidance, help in technical matters, and projects to develop capacity according to the requirements.

* Coordination with other important key stakeholders, including Women Development and Social Welfare departments EVAWG Alliances and Provincial Commissions on the Status of Women.

* Contribute to the formation of partnerships and strategies for mobilizing resources.

3. Assists in monitoring and reporting on reports on the Gender Parity Program at the provincial level.

• Record and collect the information needed to track and report on your project, starting from the beginning of the planning phase to the final stage of evaluation.

• Review your implementation of the actions and the expenditure of funds. Regular visits to monitor progress as needed.

* Draft and submit contributions to quarterly and annual reports, and coordinate the creation of a report on the narrative and financials.

* Submit direct inputs via Gender Parity project activities and results at the provincial level to feed into Islamabad Office reporting.

Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports by the guidelines.

Facilitate diffusion and sharing of knowledge products by UN Women, the UN Women team, external stakeholders, and partners.

• Document the lessons you have learned, the most effective methods from your past experiences, and the comparative efforts. Include lessons learned in ongoing activities. Also, propose ways to increase the effectiveness that this unit. EVAW Unit based on this review.

* Complete all other tasks that are assigned to you by your boss.

4. Advocate for and aid in knowledge development and management and in communicating

• Documentation of the implementation procedure and the results;

Participate in sharing knowledge and provide data to assist in developing knowledge products in the program’s internal and external aspects.

* Coordinate the schedule of large-scale events and workshops, advocacy campaigns, and training and knowledge products.

• Facilitate knowledge generation in addition to knowledge transfer within PCO.

* Find sources and compile information and data to create documents or guidelines and other documents, as needed.

* Contribute to material for briefings, such as the notes of meetings. Notes on files, PowerPoint slides, or other materials to the EVAW team. Be prepared for meetings.


Master’s degree with a focus on Social science, gender studies/ Women’s Studies, Legal or Development Studies.


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the development field as well as the project or program implementation monitoring and reporting on coordination reports by donors and developing capacities.
  • Ability to perform various tasks in a single, independent manner and without supervision
  • An understanding and commitment to the principles of the UN principles are essential. Experience working with government institutions and civil society groups is vital, as is the management advisory services, along with experience in developing monitoring, evaluating, and monitoring the development programs.
  • Experience in the area that deals with EVAW or gender-sensitive justice are an advantage.
  • Experience in coordination and working closely with the donor and government agencies is a benefit.
  • Experience using an ATLAS system is thought as an advantage.
  • Experience in computer systems and office applications (MS Word and Excel, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and sophisticated knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.. working with the management system on the internet.


An excellent understanding of English or Urdu and knowledge of the local language can be a benefit.

Being able to speak the other UN work languages is an advantage.
